Certification is open to printers wishing to produce BGCs that go through the GB credit clearing system.  Members of the Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme (CPAS) are also accredited to print BGCs.

To join, a firm must:

  • Complete an application form and return it to the Cheque and Credit Clearing Company
  • Print BGCs according to the requirements of C&CCC Standard 3.2 - Automated Processing of Vouchers (Credits)
  • Be able to comply with the required rules and regulations

The approval process involves the printer preparing sample vouchers for testing by the relevant bank relationship manager to confirm that the vouchers comply with the requirements of C&CCC Standard 3.2 - Automated Processing of Vouchers (Credits).
