In 2019, cheque processing underwent a fundamental change with the full migration to the Image Clearing System (ICS). The ICS improves the customer experience with its faster clearing timescales, demonstrates our commitment to providing payment choice, rewards innovation and makes it much easier for organisations of all sizes to participate directly in the exchange and settlement process.
