Standard 55
What is C&CCC Standard 55?
As a condition of membership, Accredited Cheque Printers must be certified to C&CCC Standard 55 by a C&CCC approved Certification Body (CB). The standard has been prepared by C&CCC in association with the British Standards Institute (BSI).
Used in conjunction with ISO 27001, the only auditable international standard which defines the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), Standard 55 addresses the three specific information security requirements for Accredited Cheque Printers:
a) Customer data and cheque products;
b) Origination work (such as digital design files / signature files);
c) Computer-based processes such as downloaded customer information, including transaction processing.
